Anger Issues During Divorce

It's normal to feel angry when you are divorcing. But, its important to deal with it in a constructive way. Having been through a divorce myself I know how difficult getting past emotional issues can be. Many people make things worse by shouting obscenities, and harming the soon to be ex. By behaving badly, you are making your case worse and can have serious consequences like losing custody of a child.First, be kind to yourself. Indulge in some positive self talk and be your own best friend. It sounds corny but it works. Go to the gym or participate in a physical activity like running, speed walking. It works off the stress. I found yoga to be very helpful and relaxing. Eat healthy, take vitamins and get enough sleep. Tap into your spiritual core. Call friends and vent if you must. Just don't call on 1 friend over and over as they can get impatient with hearing the same things over and over. Watch funny shows/movies. Read positive books like Chicken Soup for the Soul or anything inspiring. It's important to exercise self control even when your ex is provoking you. Try your best to stay calm. It may help to keep notes of the points you want to cover when you are meeting to discuss issues. Many people turn to alcohol and drugs as a crutch to get them through the tough times. Sadly, it only makes you feel bad and can cause you to do things you will regret later. Try your best to moderate your drinking because your ex will try to make you look bad with his/her attorney. That is why exercising is so good. It reduces your stress and other toxic emotions. Another helpful activity is to keep a journal of your feelings. It helps to express and validate what your going through. Also, talking things out with others like in a support group is very good especially for those that don't like to write. Another option is to see a good therapist. You will have to deal with your ex and its best to plan for these visits. Write out the key points that need to be resolved. Stay on point and remain calm even if they fly off the handle. If necessary, consider using a Divorce Mediator. Keep strong, keep the faith, and know that you will survive. Love yourself.

Pigeon Forge Car Shows During The Spring_1

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, in the Smoky Mountains, is the home to many state-of-the-art car shows. The shows have much more than vintage, classic or rare automobiles, they offer new products and huge swap meets and a chance to mingle with like-minded people from all over the country. Thousands of automotive enthusiasts arrive in Pigeon Forge every year to attend one or several of the shows.

The Grand Spring Rod Run, Pigeon Forge, is from April 12th to 15th at the Grand Resort Hotel and Convention Center. It includes vintage models with added chrome and unique cars that have been fixed-up. Car lovers enjoy just looking at the thousands of cars that attend, but there are also cars for sale. Considered the greatest car show in the country, in the evening it has a seemingly endless parade of cars. The owners of the show cars which were on the parkway during the day, cruise up and down the strip after dark. The same cars that were on show are now showing what they have under the hood.

Every make, model and color of every muscle car ever made is brought to the Pigeon Forge show. The parts and accessories that are hard to find as well as parts for classic hot rods are sold by vendors. For those who want to ask questions about their cars and engines, the experts are there with the answers. They can help keep cars running well and help upgrade a car to something great.

The show starts at the intersection of traffic light number three and extends almost to the end of the parkway. Cars, trucks and other vehicles are parked on both sides of the road and visitors should park and walk up and down the street to see both sides. It's a great site to see Model Ts parked next to '58 Corvettes, or a '38 Studebaker Bus parked next to a '55 Bel-Air. Just like a car museum, the show has one advantage over a museum. The owner of the car will be sitting nearby and will answer any and all questions about their beloved automobile. There are also workshops available that are run by experts to answer technical questions about automobiles.

Participants can go to the official website to resister their car in the show. Without registering, cars can cruise the parkway and park on the side if they can find a space. Many people do this and put their cars up for sale. These cars are not eligible for awards and prizes.

The Pigeon Forge Spring Rod Run begins Pigeon Forge's three biggest car shows. The other big shows include Shades of the Past Car Show and the Fall Grand Rod Run.

In early May, the Yellow Mustang Car show is held at the Inn at Christmas Place. Participants must have a yellow-colored Ford Mustang. There are hundreds of bright yellow Mustangs that are loud and fast that arrive in Pigeon Forge every year for the show. Mustangs have their own shows in Pigeon Forge, and spring is the time for the yellow Mustangs.

Also, later in May, is the annual F-100 Supernationals and All Ford Show. It is open to all Ford vehicles including trucks, tractors and cars. The venue is the City of Pigeon Forge Municipal Lot. Sam Memmolo, who is the Voice of the F-100 Supernationals, is the host. At the same time there is a Chevy Classics Car show at the Inn at Christmas Place.

In early June is the Pontiacs in Pigeon Forge Car Show. For over 10 years some of the most beautiful Pontiacs have gathered at the Music Road Hotel. There is the fabulous car show and many other activities for the whole family. The hotel has a huge waterslide for cooling off, and the Dollywood Amusement Park is nearby with thrilling rides.

At hotels in Pigeon Forge, you can literally park your car and walk to see all the classic cars on the side of the street. To reserve your hotel room at Pigeon Forge TN hotels for the car shows, visit The Oak Tree Lodge.

Family Vacation Ideas During The Spring in Pigeon Forge

Spring is almost here, and if you want to get away with the family for a few days, the Great Smoky Mountains have some incredible package deals that are very affordable.

Pigeon Forge is located in Tennessee and is one of the most popular destinations on the planet. You and your family and friends can stay in a hotel that has all of the comforts of home. Stay in a hotel at the base of the mountains and enjoy beautiful views, and wonderful accommodation. Pack up the car and get ready for the trip of a lifetime, just don't forget your camera, as you are going to want to capture every moment.

The Great Smoky Mountains are beautiful all year round, but especially during the spring. The snow is beginning to melt, the flowers are beginning to bloom, and winter is about to be put to rest for another year. The ski resorts are closed, but if you take a drive to the higher elevations, you may be able to have a snowball fight or two.

Pigeon Forge has an abundance of activities for your entire family. After you check in to your hotel, head into town and have a bite to eat. There are some excellent restaurants that will curb your appetite, and entertain.

Springfest runs from March until June and is a celebration that is full of fun and adventure. Classic car buffs will love the shows that take place during April. If you are planning a trip to Pigeon Forge in May, you will not want to miss the annual Dolly Parade on the 11th. After the parade, head over to Dollywood where spring comes alive. Springfest fills the mountain air with live music, and great barbecues. May is also the month for Sevierville's Bloomin' BBQ and Bluegrass. Each year thousands of people flock to the Great Smoky Mountains for free concerts, interactive kid's games and tasty food. You will love shopping for souvenirs at the local stalls.

Parks As Classrooms is a wonderful camp for kids. Your sons and daughters will learn about the environment, and get hands on training from the Smoky Mountains Institute. Drop them off and you and your partner can get in a round of golf.

There is nothing better than camping with the family, and if you have been promising the kids a couple of nights under the stars, grab your tent, cooking stove and an ice chest. Every Elkmont, Smokemont and Cades Cove campsite allows pets, and up to two tents. Better yet, bring the RV. For more experienced campers ask about backcountry camping and show your kids what it is really like to go without television and video games for a few days.

Everyone loves the great outdoors, especially after the cold winter months. Dust off your hiking boots, pack a picnic lunch and set out on foot. There are some spectacular trails where you will see beautiful wildflowers, burgeoning brooks and incredible wildlife. If you love adventure, spend a whole day riding the rapids. Even if you are a beginner, you will love floating down the Pigeon River. Just imagine maneuvering the white water with your guide through the Smoky Mountains National Park.

One of the best ways to see the incredible scenery that Tennessee has to offer is on horseback. Beginners and experts will love saddling up and heading to the high country. You can go for an hour, or the entire day. If you would rather spend your day relaxing, take the kids fishing. You just might catch your limit.

Stop wondering where to spend your spring vacation, and head to Pigeon Forge in the Great Smoky Mountains. With all of the attractions and activities available, you may have to stay for a couple of weeks.

On your family vacation this spring, stay in a hotel in Pigeon Forge near everything you love to do such as shop, eat and even golf. This Pigeon Forge TN hotel is a great place for the kids too as there is an indoor and outdoor pool with slide.
